These are all configurations consisting solely of module A and Double A of the Zipper® system.
This configuration consists of a continuous barrier of Zipper® system A and Double A modules.
This configuration consists of four Zipper® system A modules in the center and one B module at each end. The distance between each B4AB set can be shorten to make the cycle lane more difficult to invade, increasing safety in areas with heavy traffic or close to an intersection.
The Zipper Zero System makes it possible to transform urban spaces quickly by building segregated cycle lanes and roundabouts. Zippers promote streamlined traffic flow, prevent vehicles from encroaching on cycle lanes, and protect cyclists from injury. Its modular design allows for multiple design and configuration options.
The modules that make up the Zipper®® system can be customized by using different colored paint or adhesive vinyl.
Application of colors representing different motifs.
Application of colors chosen by the city of Lisbon in one of its cycle lanes.
Application of colors to create Wayfinding patterns.
The design of the Zipper® system modules is asymmetrical. That means each side offers different levels of protection. This allows it to adapt to different traffic and street characteristics.
The rough surface of the Zipper system modules makes them slip-resistant.
