HOW TO USE

According to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), S1-1 signs can be used “to warn road users that they are approaching a school area that might include school buildings or grounds, a school crossing, or school related activity adjacent to the highway.” Always check relevant local laws and ordinances prior to purchasing and installing traffic signs. Specific signs may require a minimum reflectivity of “high intensity” or greater.
