Put safety first with our ADA Radius Curve pads! These specially designed tiles are meant to be placed near curb ramps, depressed walkways, intersections, crosswalks, and any other structure that may present a trip or stumble risk to visually impaired pedestrians. The distinct texture of the pad—as well as its obvious difference from the surrounding concrete—is detectable with feet or a probing cane; in either case, the pad serves as a tactile alert to be wary of a nearby hazard.

Transline is proud to carry radius curve pads that fully comply with ADA federal and state regulations. The truncated dome texture features properly sized and spaced “bubbles” that are easily detectable but will not impede wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers. The pads themselves are also carefully engineered so that their height does not create a trip hazard.

Radius curve pads are easy to install, maintain, and replace but are virtually tamper-proof. Heavy-duty anchors and fasteners resist corrosion and keep the pad flush with the walking surface. Overall, they’re strong, stiff structures that can withstand heavy amounts of foot-traffic—and protect pedestrians in the long-term. Put safety first with our ADA Radius Curve pads!

ADA Compliance:

  • In-line dome spacing meets ADA Federal and State requirements
  • Truncated dome size and spacing compliant with ADA Federal and State requirements
  • Fully complies with all ADA and OSHA requirements for surface height transitions to eliminate trip hazards
  • Wide in-line dome configuration facilitates a smooth rolling transition for strollers, wheelchairs and walkers

How to Use

Transline carries radius curve pads in surface-mount or cast-in-place designs. The former intended is for installation on existing concrete features, while the latter can be integrated during the construction of a new concrete feature. If there is any confusion about which model your project will require, please consult with a Transline sales representative prior to placing your order.

When installing/replacing a radius curve pad or any other detectable warning feature, PLEASE remember to always provide on-site alternative safety measures for the visually impaired!
