February is American Heart Month, a time to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death among women. On February 7th, you can show your support by wearing red in your local neighborhoods or online communities.
Red symbolizes a commitment to women’s heart health.
Transline Industries supports activities that promote heart health on streets and roadways. We are dedicated to ensuring that roads and walkways in your local parks and districts are safe and welcoming.
Why It’s Important?
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States and is largely preventable. The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women initiative aims to increase awareness of women’s heart health and encourage them to take action to reduce their risk.
Healthy Heart Benefits
- Lower blood pressure: A healthy heart can pump more blood with each beat, which can lower blood pressure.
- Reduced risk of heart attack: A healthy heart can reduce your risk of heart attack.
- Improved cholesterol levels: A healthy heart can raise your levels of HDL (“good”) cholesterol and lower your levels of triglycerides (“bad”) cholesterol.
- Reduced risk of inflammation: A healthy heart can reduce C-reactive protein (CRP) levels, a sign of inflammation.
