When you need a blockade that can be used over and over again on a variety of jobs, look no further than our A-frame barricades!
Transline’s A-frame barricades feature a simple, friction-lock design and molded, 1” ballasting holes. These features combine to create a product that’s lightweight, can be quickly assembled or disassembled, and is easy to transport—all without compromising stability or durability. The barricade can be made even more robust with the addition of sand bags.
A-frame barricades are highly visible to motorists and pedestrians, even at night or in inclement weather. A single pair of A-frames will accommodate up to two 1″ x 8″ x 8″ reflective plastic panels; panels are available with either engineer grade or high intensity sheeting.
Each barricade features mounting receptacles for flashing lights. These are sold separately; explore our product catalog to see Transline’s selection of solar wireless lights.
Because A-frames can support up to two reflective panels, please specify your desired number of pieces when you order. In general, single-panel barriers (“Type 1”) are better suited for blocking off pedestrian walkways, while two-panel barriers (“Type 2”) are a better choice for blocking off roadways. Transline also sells individual frames and barriers; contact a representative for pricing on “extra” parts.
Nota bene: According to the MUTCD, reflective barriers should be placed so that the stripes point in the direction that motorists are supposed to pass an obstruction. For example, if a rightmost lane is to be blocked, then the barricade should be set up so that the stripes point towards the left. When setting up barriers, please be mindful of how they will appear to oncoming traffic!
