When you need to make marks that are clear and highly visible but NOT permanent, railroad chalk is the way to go!

Use Transline’s railroad chalk as you would any other writing instrument. This highly-visible chalk will create markings that are bright and bold. Draw lines, make notes, label items, and more. When you’re done, cleanup is a breeze; unlike paint, which can be difficult to remove once it dries on a surface, chalk quickly washes away without leaving stains or residue. Individual chalk sticks are manufactured to be smooth and easy to hold.

Our heavy-duty chalk is suitable for use on almost any surface and is appropriate for industrial, construction, and commercial use. You can leave the school chalk in the classroom and sidewalk chalk in the garage—railroad chalk is serious stuff for major projects!

How to Use

When using railroad chalk, apply firm, even pressure to create thick, consistent markings. Please note that, while railroad chalk is specifically engineered to be tougher (and brighter) than most other kinds of chalk, it can still crack or break due to excessive manhandling. To ensure longevity, store this product in a cool, dry place.

Some individuals who are hyper-sensitive to respiratory irritants may experience discomfort upon inhaling large amounts of chalk dust. If respiratory issues (e.g., coughing, shortness of breath, sinus pain) occur while using this product, afflicted people should leave the area and breathe in fresh, clean air immediately.

Railroad chalk works best on clean, dry surfaces. Because exposure to rain or other precipitation will typically cause markings to fade dramatically, chalk may not be an appropriate choice when heavy precipitation is expected.

To remove chalk lines, simply brush away the markings using your hand or a rag. In some cases, gentle scrubbing with water may be needed to remove lines completely.
